How to Pay . . .
and How to Get Your Money Back
Tuition and Fees - Payment
Tuition Due Dates:
2009 Winter Intersession December 14, 2009
2010 Spring Semester January 5, 2010
2010 Summer Semester May 10, 2010
Students not paying in full by the due date will be charged a $50 payment plan fee and automatically placed on the NKU Installment Plan. For registrations that take place after the due date, payment is due immediately.
To avoid a financial obligation to NKU and or a grade liability, class withdrawals must be processed by the end of the 100% adjustment (refund) period for each term or session. The adjustment (refund) period dates can be found in the academic calendars.
Student Refunds
The University sends refunds to students approximately seven days after a credit appears on the student account. For example, if financial aid is disbursed on the first day of classes, you can expect your refund to be processed and sent during the second week of classes.
We encourage all students to sign up for direct deposit. Please log on to mynku.nku.edu and plug in your banking institution's routing number and your account number to have all of your refunds sent directly to your own personal bank account. The funds should be in your account within 24 to 72 hours after the scheduled refund date.
You can also elect to have your check mailed. All checks will be mailed to the standard address that you have on file with the registrar's office. If you need to change your address, please log on to http://registrar.nku.edu/forms/studentforms.php and download the change of address form.
Refunds cannot be picked up at the university under any circumstances.

C. Refund appeals, based on extraordinary circumstances, must be made in writing to the Dean or Assistant Dean of your college no later than the last day of the semester for which you are appealing.
